Headquartered in Costa Rica, the United Nations-mandated University for Peace was established in December 1980 as a Treaty Organization by the UN General Assembly.

Since it was established in 1990 , more than 1000 students from all continents have come to Stadtschlaining to study peace at EPU.

Department of Peace Studies, Bradford University is the world’s largest university centre for the study of peace and conflict. Peace Studies has a staff and student body of more than 400 people and we have a world-class reputation for peace research. it is also one of the UK’s leading politics departments.

PRIME conducts various research projects with affiliated researchers playing a central role. In 2008, our main project research is on “Globalization and Peace,” focusing on the issues of disarmament, role of the media and the reconciliation between cultures and religions.
